> Develop consistent practice attendance
> Develop stroke efficiency
> Perform all turns and push offs efficiently
> Can read and understand basic intervals on the pace clock
> Age 11-14
Promotion Expectations: > Swim 1 x 400 IM @ 8:00 legally
> Competes in all events available
> Swim 8 x 100 free @ 1:45
> Perform 8 x 100 kick @ 2:05
> Practice Attendance 90%
> Goal setting/exhibits leadership skills
> Must have completed at least 1 high school swim season
> Accurately counts practice distances and set repetitions
> State Qualifier (5 events or more)
> Age 13 and up
Social Skills > Good listening skills
> Understands lane etiquette (circle swim, 5 seconds apart, etc.)
> Respectful of other swimmers; no splashing or touching
> Meets swimmers from other teams
Character Development: > Respectful of swimmers, coaches and parents
> Respectful of pool
> Respectful of locker room
> Congratulates teammates
> Stays in lane until heat is completed in competition
Nutrition: > Brings a water bottle to practice every day
> Parents are expected to give healthy food choices
> Athletes are expected to be able to identify between healthy/unhealthy food choice
Time Management: > Practice 4 times per week (up to 5 practices a week offered)
> Informs coach of practice absence and reason
> Parents will make sure swimmer is on time for practices and competition
> Understands the importance of rest
Team Commitment: > Wears GATOR gear to school at least once a week
> Competes in home competition and two away meets
> Learns four team cheer
> Cost: Y- Member: $155, Non-Y Member: $170
